In Let There Be Sight, Seva donor Turk Pipkin chronicles his journey with a Seva medical team to a remote surgical eye camp in Nepal's Himalayas where hundreds of people had their vision restored. Ram Dass Seva Story: International Women's Day- Restoring Eyesight in Nepal
Living in the Himalayas of Nepal, Ama had no hope of regaining her eyesight, until five years ago, when she received cataract surgery at a Seva remote eye camp. This year Ama was excited to show donors everything she could do since regaining her sight. Women account for 2/3rds of the world's blind. Seva celebrates International Women's Day by working to make eye care accessible to women around the globe.
Ram Dass Seva: Restoring Sight to Cambodian Children
Many Cambodia children do not have access to eye care services. Seva trains Cambodian doctors and provides infastruction so that Cambodia can provide care to it's own citizens. Last year, over 70,000 children in Cambodia received eye examinations as a result of Seva's work. 1/2 of children who go blind in developing countries will die within the first year. By preventing and treating blindness, Seva provides opportunities for life to children around the world.

Dhana lives in one of the most isolated, impoverished villages on the planet, Bajura, Nepal, a stunning but unforgiving landscape he has not seen for five years. Dhana Kadka is blind due to cataracts. Despite this, he walked 10km through the rocky terrain of far west Nepal by feel and memory. Kadhka learned that a group of Seva-supported eye doctors were coming for a special visit. So he made the perilous journey on foot for the chance to see.
Ram Dass Vishnu Maya's Story: Carried Into an Eye Camp (Mother's Day)
After Vishnu Maya lost her sight to cataracts, her son carried her on his back for two days to reach Seva's remote eye camp in the Himalayas of Nepal. Walking home beside her son, Vishnu Maya was finally able to see the mountains she had been carried over, blind, just the day before.
Ram Dass Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute: Charlton's Story
Charlton is a student at SIPI studying Vision Technology. Charlton is an ambitious student who is working hard to support his family and give back to his community. Seva helps support Charlton in accomplishing his dreams. In partnership with the Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute, Seva is training the next generation of eye care professionals and bringing eye care to Native American communities.
Ram Dass Seva Stories: Blind and Deaf - Mother's Day
Tikka Maya was blind and deaf, until her daughter took her to a Seva sight camp happening near their village. After a 15 minute cataract surgery she is able to see again. She and her family expressed thier deep gratitue to the donors of Seva.
