"When we met the folks at Seva, we knew we were among kindred spirits, joining to bring people together in service to others. Whether preventing blindness in Nepal, assisting native peoples in Guatemala and Mexico, or helping our own Native Americans, Seva has been there to help alleviate suffering and improve people's lives. DSOOn Saturday, September 26th the SOMO Village Event Center will host Dark Star Orchestra ~ a portion of the proceeds will benefit Seva.

Performing to critical acclaim worldwide for nearly 15 years and over 2000 shows, Dark Star Orchestra continues The Grateful Dead concert experience. Their shows are built off the Dead’s extensive catalog and the talent of these 7 fine musicians. On any given night the band will perform a show based on a set list from The Grateful Dead’s 30 years of extensive touring or use of their catalog to program a unique set list for the show. This allows fans both young and old to share in the experience. By recreating set lists from the past, and by developing their own sets of Dead songs, Dark Star Orchestra offers a continually evolving artistic outlet within this musical canon. Honoring both the band and the fans, Dark Star Orchestra’s members seek out the unique style and sound of each era while simultaneously offering their own informed improvisations.

Seva will host a very special VIP reception at the event. All proceeds from the sale of VIP tickets will benefit our programs around the world.

VIP tickets include: premier parking, access to the VIP lounge and seating area, a gourmet dinner with vegetarian and meat options, a collectors laminate pass and limited edition event poster designed by Mike Dubois. Dinner will be served 6:00-8:00 in the VIP lounge. VIP tickets are $125.
